![]() I still cling to this habit in Tropico 5, but I'm starting to feel like maybe I shouldn't. No mining, no logging and a lot of happy environmentalists. ![]() Once the money was rolling in, I'd start importing the raw natural resources I needed to fuel the other industries. In Tropico 3 and 4 I usually got by with a strictly agricultural foundation for my economy - just a bunch of farms and ranches that would then fuel Rum and Cigar factories. This was on the horrid desert campaign island that has the terrible bottleneck of a starting spot, and the industry cluster was shoehorned in the side of the bottleneck. My bigger problem was getting enough goods being imported to keep the industry moving.Īlso, it wasn't as if I had a well spread out island. There was a minor amount of latency in goods being moved around, but the throughput was sufficient that nothing was shutting down. The residential area was relocated away from the docks (4 of them on the starter beach!) to ease congestion. One office near the docks, two sitting on the roads between the industrial cluster and agriculture, and one next to agriculture. The main docks, the industry cluster and the agriculture sector. I had 4 normally funded offices servicing a 1500 pop island which had three distinct locations. They could be trying to get something to eat, or going back home, or visiting a church/clinic. Select the teamster's office and check to see what they're doing. Seemed like a bug or something, my island was about 600 people and my economy wasn't even that large. My freighters were shipping out 1-2,000 dollars at a time and my factories were all output storage full. Prevalent faction - In every sandbox game one faction is chosen as "prevalent" on the island. So why are my teamsters not doing anything? I had 4 fully employed max budgeted offices and they were just sitting there letting me get 100,000 dollars in the hole.More icons displaying the status of buildings and displaying input/output storage numbers for selected buildings.Beautification upgrades for the presidential palace including rooftop pool, extra towers, flags, banners and a larger balcony (which will increase the effects of balcony speeches).4 Additional Avatar Costumes - 2 for male and 2 for female avatars.Faction Disasters - Low standing with any island faction will trigger new disasters if not addressed.New faction - The new Loyalist faction are your die hard supporters and want no elections (since you're obviously the best candidate) and want a statue of you on every corner!.6 Landmarks - Build huge decorations and buildings which dominate the island landscape and make each island unique.10 new Megalomania edicts - demonstrate your absolute power by ordering the construction of a huge golden statue of Tropico's top export, declaring an annual festival dedicated to yourself or even print your own money!.6 new buildings (including Garbage Dump, Marina, Small Garage, Children's Playground etc) and a new buildings category for current and new decorations with individual icons mode.New campaign featuring 10 missions on a separate map with 10 islands also available in sandbox mode.
